KATRINE HILDEBRANDT

Hildebrandt’s multi-process works, seemingly fragile yet strong, could serve as metaphors for the human condition. As she folds, forages, dyes, burns, and sews, Katrine Hildebrandt creates unique works that are at once structured and fluid, disciplined and poignant.

In this body of work, I am revisiting a series started three summers ago — one rooted in caregiving, in the fragile and luminous web of our relationships and lives . . . These works continue to explore the innate potential within us — the quiet force that pushes toward blooming, toward opening, toward becoming more fully conscious of ourselves and one another.  –Katrine Hildebrandt

KATHLEEN O’HARA

As a multi-media artist, I construct installations that begin on the wall and move gradually into the exhibition space. During the past few years, I have begun to introduce clay and textiles into my methodology. All my work speaks to history as I explore the concepts of time and memory, as well as my interest in the uncanny or unheimlich as defined by Sigmund Freud. My imagery is often based on historically researched objects, persons, art forms, and crafts.

“O’Hara’s work asks us to look below the surface to the psychological or parallel universe lurking behind the veil. These unseen forces are conceptually knit between object and mind, real or perceived, both creating the anxiety of the unknown, the familiar beast of our times.” –Kate James, Director, Concord Art, Concord, MA

DONNA INGEMANSON

My artwork is an expression of my passion for paint, texture, color, composition and communication of a fleeting experience. Each piece is created in a very spontaneous and intuitive way as I react to each moment artistically. My work is a culmination of past experiences and explorations as a designer/illustrator/artist as I seek to find a composition and story that many times includes organic imagery in a loose, painterly style that will lead the viewer to their own interpretation.
